We are currently seeking a
Technical Environment Engineer
to join a dynamic development team supporting one of our major financial clients.Job Type:
PermanentWork Model:
Hybrid (3 days in office)
2 days – Downtown Toronto1 day – North York
Start Date:
ImmediatelyRole Summary
The Technical Environment Engineer is responsible for ensuring the
stability, performance, and availability of QAT and non-production environments
across complex enterprise platforms. This role leads incident triage and resolution, performs advanced technical troubleshooting, and serves as a key liaison between application teams, infrastructure teams, and external partners. Exceptional communication skills and robust ownership are essential to drive timely issue resolution and continuous improvement.Must Have Skills
1- 3 years of experience
in QA, web development, supporting QAT and non-production environments in enterprise-scale systemsStrong experience
handling, prioritizing, and resolving incidents and service requests
using tools such as
JIRA and ServiceNowProven ability to
analyze system, application, and infrastructure logs
to diagnose and resolve issuesExperience performing QA activities including functional testing, regression testing, integration testing,



and user acceptance testing (UAT)Solid understanding of
APIs, endpoints, and service integrationsHands‑on experience with
Dynatrace, OpenShift, ELK stack, and AWSAbility to lead
incident triage, escalation, and root cause analysis
activitiesExtremely strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple internal and external teamsNice to Have
Hands-on coding or scripting experience
(e.G., Java, Python, Shell, PowerShell)Experience supporting
cloud-native, containerized, or microservices-based architecturesFamiliarity with
CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and release managementPrior experience in
financial services or other highly regulated environmentsExperience creating and maintaining
runbooks, operational documentation, and knowledge articles
in
ConfluenceExperience mentoring junior engineers or providing technical leadershipEducation
Bachelor's degree or diploma in
Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related fieldEquivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal educationWe thank all applicants for your interest and referral.
