Our team builds the Amazon Kids Store and Subscription experiences — where kids discover and request the content they want, and parents stay in control by approving what their kids can access.We're looking for a talented, experienced Software Development Engineer with a track record of building and shipping innovative software to help shape our team, influence the team culture, and help develop the team. Our goal is to create a revolutionary experience for parents and kids to enjoy on our Amazon family of devices.You will work with the team to quickly and iteratively deliver high quality software features. Your team's work spans the backend services that power content discovery, ordering, and parental approvals, as well as the web/app experiences parents see — and you'll work across the full software stack as needed.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and drive customer-facing features for the Kids experience across multiple platforms such as Tablet, Kindle, and Fire TVOwn software systems from inception to delivery and beyondDesign, architect,
and build innovative consumer products used every day by familiesLeverage software engineering expertise to solve difficult technical problemsWork closely with leadership and product management to design simple solutionsMaintain production software, identify pain points, and drive the team to resolve themHelp make the team better, more efficient, and a more enjoyable place to workBasic Qualifications3+ years of non-internship qualified software development experience2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experienceExperience programming with at least one software programming languagePreferred Qualifications3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experienceBachelor 's degree in computer scienceor equivalentBenefitsBase salary range: $114,800 – $191,800 CAD annually. Package may include sign-on payments and RSUs.
