The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Commercial Insurance Team Lead to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced commercial insurance professional who is ready to take on more leadership responsibility while staying connected to the technical work they know and enjoy.

You do not need to have held a formal leadership title. What matters most is strong commercial lines experience, sound judgment, and a track record of being someone colleagues trust for guidance. You will support a team of commercial insurance professionals, help work through more complex files and client situations, and provide coaching that helps others grow.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys both the people side and the technical side of commercial insurance.

About You

You are an experienced commercial insurance skilled who enjoys solving problems and helping others succeed. You are comfortable handling complex accounts, providing clear direction, and stepping in when a file or client situation requires additional expertise.

You are organized, approachable, technically strong, and confident balancing your own responsibilities with supporting the broader team.

Necessary Qualifications Include

- Level 2 General Insurance License
- 5+ years of commercial lines brokerage experience




- Strong commercial property and liability knowledge
- Experience managing a commercial book independently
- Strong renewal, endorsement, and marketing experience
- Applied Epic proficiency
- Strong communication and coaching skills
- CAIB or CIP considered an asset
- Previous leadership experience considered an asset

Key Responsibilities

- Provide day-to-day team guidance
- Support workload and workflow management
- Assist with complex commercial files
- Handle coverage and renewal escalations
- Review files and provide feedback
- Coach and support team development
- Assist with onboarding and training
- Monitor service standards
- Share market and carrier knowledge
- Maintain commercial files as required
- Partner with management on team priorities
