Senior Accountant – Canadian Tax Service

Our Winnipeg office is looking for a Senior Accountant to join the Canadian Tax Service team. The incumbent will be responsible for providing high‑quality tax services to clients while aligning with BDO’s values.

Responsibilities

- Deal with tax authorities on tax audits and appeals.
- Develop and implement strategies for clients to capitalize on business opportunities.
- Identify and document tax filing positions, including risk analysis.
- Prepare and review personal, corporate, and trust income tax returns and other tax information forms.
- Research tax issues and prepare memoranda or client letters, writing reports at the appropriate level for the intended audience.

Qualifications

- Completed or nearing completion of the CPA designation.
- Enrolled in or pursuing an in‑depth tax course.
- 3+ years of experience in public accounting with a specialization in tax.
- Strong understanding of relevant tax legislation, corporate, personal, and trust tax compliance and planning.
