As part of the OFFICE OF THE CAO, the Economic Development Advisor will develop strategies to boost Brampton's economic landscape. Your expertise will foster relationships with businesses and stakeholders, ensuring a smooth approval process for investments. Collaborate with cross-departmental teams and market Brampton's vibrant sectors to national and international audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead business development activities to attract new investments
• Meet with potential investors and developers to promote opportunities
• Maintain a database of property ownership for economic work




• Support the growth of the Brampton Innovation District
• Advocate for economic development interests in multi-departmental meetings
Requirements:
• University Degree in Business or related field
• Minimum five years of experience in Economic Development
• Strong problem-solving and strategic skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Valid Ontario driver’s license and reliable vehicle for travel
