In this role, you will lead piping engineering activities on complex oil and gas facilities projects, supporting multidisciplinary teams and ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient, and code-compliant piping systems. Your role will include:Technical LeadershipLead the development and execution of piping engineering deliverables for oil and gas facilities projectsServe as a subject matter expert for piping design, specifications, materials, and installationsDevelop, review, and approve piping specifications, line designation tables, material requisitions, isometrics, and specialty item specificationsSupport the development of engineering standards, procedures,



and best practicesEnsure compliance with applicable codes and standards including ASME B31.1, B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, CSA Z662, and client specificationsTeam Leadership & Team CollaborationProvide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior and intermediate piping engineersCoordinate closely with piping design, stress, mechanical, project management, and supply chain teamsSupport resource planning, engineering estimates, workload forecasting, and project staffing requirementsParticipate in multidisciplinary reviews and resolve technical and interface issuesFoster collaboration across global project teams and workshare officesProject Execution & DeliveryContribute to project documentation including Design Basis Memorandums (DBMs), project execution plans, scopes of work, and engineering estimatesSupport project delivery by ensuring piping engineering deliverables meet quality, schedule, and budget requirementsParticipate in 30%, 60%, and 90% model reviews to optimize piping layouts and arrangementsReview and manage client requirements, technical expectations, and project changesSupport procurement activities including material requisitions, vendor reviews, and technical evaluationsConstruction & Field SupportProvide engineering support during construction, commissioning, and startup activitiesParticipate in field reviews and inspections of piping systems and installationsRespond to RFIs, field queries, and technical issues related to piping systemsWork with inspectors, clients, contractors,



and project teams to resolve field-level concernsSupport as-building and verification of installed systems as requiredSafety, Quality & CompliancePromote safe design practices and maintain a strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental performanceEnsure adherence to engineering quality management processes and verification proceduresSupport continuous improvement initiatives within the piping engineering disciplineMaintain compliance with applicable industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirementsAbout YouBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related discipline (required)Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGA (required)Minimum 15 years of oil and gas experience with significant EPCM project exposureStrong leadership and mentoring experience within engineering teamsExcellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality engineering outcomesTechnical ExpertiseAdvanced knowledge of piping engineering for oil and gas facilitiesExtensive experience with ASME B31.1, B31.3, B31.4, and B31.8 design codesExpert knowledge of CSA Z662 above-ground piping designExperience with pressure piping systems and regulatory requirementsUnderstanding of metallurgy and materials selection for corrosive and high-temperature service is considered an assetKnowledge of welding procedures, procedure qualification requirements, and NDE methodologies is considered an assetDesign experience with steam and boiler piping systems is considered an assetExposure to pipeline engineering is considered an assetBroad experience supporting natural gas, conventional oil, and heavy oil facilitiesSoftware ProficiencyFamiliarity with piping design software and engineering toolsExperience with CAD and 3D piping modeling systems considered an assetProficiency with Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applicationsFamiliarity with engineering document management and material management systems #J-18808-Ljbffr
