PROGRAM SUPERVISOR – AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
PLASP Child Care Services is a charitable organization operating on a not-for-profit basis, providing high quality early learning and child care, for children up to 12 years of age. PLASP operates in more than240schools providing before school, lunch, and after school programs and 38full-day early learning and child care centres and sixEarlyON locations for children from 0 – 6 years.

The successful candidate will provide a full range of duties, including:
- Establishing and maintaining a safe, warm and caring environment in which a high-quality extended day program can operate
- Ensuring that the supervision and safety of the children is maintained at all times
- Workingcooperatively with all staff tohelpplan, develop, and implement a program of stimulating age appropriate activities for groups ofchildren, whichwill promote their physical, social,
emotional and intellectual well-being, in accordance with theChild Care Early Years Act (CCEYA),How Does Learning Happen? (HDLH?)and the guidelines established by PLASP for all program components including P.A. Days
- Supportingin the daily preparation of nutritious breakfast and snacks within the guidelines of the Canada Food Guide
- Participatingin monthly staff meetings for the purpose of program planning and problem solving
- An ECE degree/diploma and be registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators (RECE) or have a Child Youth Worker/Care diploma (CYW/CYC) or Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) in good standing
- Knowledge of theChild Care Early Years Act (CCEYA)andMinistry of EducationLicensing requirements
- A valid Standard First Aid Certificate, with level C CPR
- A valid Criminal Reference Check - Vulnerable Sector
- All health requirements (immunizations) to be met in accordance with theCCEYAand Medical Officer of Health
