Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Lifeguard a diverse set of activities
- Ensure effective program instruction in a fun and safe manner for participants
- Assist with the delivery of special events
- Ensure cleanliness of pool deck and surrounding areas
- May be required to assist with administration duties as required
- Follow all policies, procedures and standards of the CRD
- Perform other duties as required

Key Skills & Abilities
- Excellent communication (verbal and written); interpersonal and customer service skills are required
- Familiar with emergency procedures and able to respond accordingly
- Knowledgeable of the aquatic facilities rules and regulations
- Ability to work independently with general supervision in a relatively structured environment

- Acceptable criminal record check. The applicant/incumbent is required to undergo a criminal record check to work in this position and to report to their supervisor if any criminal charges are laid against them that may be related to employment.
- National Lifeguard Certificate
- Standard First Aid and CPR-C
- Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor
