Our Fleet & Maintenance Supervisor role offers the opportunity to lead a diverse team while ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and on schedule in a fast‑paced operational environment. This role plays a key part in supporting daily operations, coaching team members, and maintaining high standards of safety, performance, and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Leading and overseeing daily fleet and maintenance operations to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Supervising, coaching, and supporting a diverse team including operators, drivers, trades, and lead hands.
- Coordinating work activities, resources, and schedules to meet operational and service requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements at all times.
- Monitoring performance and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
- Communicating effectively with internal stakeholders to support operational priorities and resolve issues.
- Supporting workforce planning, training, and development of team members.
Qualifications
- Education
- Relevant trade certification, technical diploma, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience
- Experience supervising or leading teams in a maintenance, fleet, or operational setting.
- Proven experience working in safety‑focused, fast‑paced environments.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems effectively.
- Solid understanding of maintenance and operational processes.
- Security Clearance Eligibility Required
- Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3–5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom.
CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”
Working Conditions
- Working schedule: Four (4) days per week, ten (10) hours per day for a forty (40) hour work week.

Location: Onsite. This is a fully on‑site position based at our Chalk River Laboratory in Ontario.
