We’re looking for an Architectural Technologist who knows how to bring buildings to life visually. This role sits inside a busy Edmonton general contractor , working directly with project managers, estimators, and leadership to translate ideas, sketches, and construction drawings into clear 2D drawings and compelling 3D renderings .

This is not a purely technical drafting job. We want someone who understands how buildings actually go together and can communicate design intent visually —whether that’s helping a client picture their project before it’s built or helping a project team identify issues before they hit the field.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Create 2D architectural drawings and construction visuals from conceptual sketches and design direction
- Develop high-quality 3D models and renderings for presentations, proposals, and client approvals
- Work closely with project managers, estimators, and leadership to visualize projects before construction
- Assist with design development, layouts, and construction detailing
- Produce visuals that help clients understand the project scope and design intent
- Support marketing and proposal teams with renderings and graphics when needed
- Ensure drawings align with building codes, municipal requirements, and construction standards




- Identify potential design conflicts early by reviewing models and drawings with the project team

What We’re Looking For

- Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology or related field
- 3+ years of experience in architectural drafting or visualization
- Strong experience with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar modeling software
- Experience producing 2D construction drawings and 3D renderings
- Understanding of commercial construction and how buildings are actually built
- Ability to take rough concepts and turn them into clear visual representations
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment with multiple projects
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with non-technical team members

Nice to Have

- Experience with Enscape, Lumion, Twinmotion, or other rendering software
- Experience creating visualizations for client presentations or proposals
