As a Senior Manager, you will be a professional member of our Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) practice working under our Treasury & Commodities specialty. In Canada, our FAAS team consists of dedicated financial reporting and accounting advisory professionals in seven locations across the country. We are a high‑growth Sub‑Service Line under Assurance and are constantly looking to expand our portfolio of services across the CFO agenda and evolving finance field of play.
We combine technical accounting skills in IFRS, Canadian and US GAAP with quantitative valuation exercises for complex energy‑based financial and non‑financial contracts.
We are seeking a Senior Manager with a minimum of 10‑years experience in quantitative modelling and valuations in the energy sector, with a focus on the U.S. energy and regulated markets. Candidates will be based in our Toronto, Calgary, or Montreal office.
Lead and participate in valuation and financial analyses and apply valuation theories and approaches in the energy sector, including gathering supporting information; analyzing market and research data; formulating valuation approaches; developing valuation models; and preparing formal and informal valuation reports for a variety of matters such as tax, financial reporting, valuations, and litigation.
Partner with technical accounting specialists to translate the valuations and related methodologies to financial reporting implications, including hedge accounting for both our Channel 1 Audit and Channel 2 Advisory client base.
Develop and manage client relationships, and demonstrate people‑management skills. Expand and strengthen existing relationships by participating in internal and external business‑development activities.
