The salary range for this position is CAD $45.15/Hr. - CAD $56.17/Hr.

Job Summary

Occupational Therapist with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) on the Home Health Rehabilitation Team at the Community Health Centre in North Vancouver, BC. Provide client and family‑centred occupational therapy services, including identifying and assessing occupational performance issues, planning and implementing goal‑directed services, evaluating effectiveness, and maintaining records. Participate in quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, and education.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

- Degree in Occupational Therapy plus two years of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Current full registration as an Occupational Therapist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

- Basic knowledge of evidence‑based clinical practice related to the designated clinical area.
- Broad knowledge of occupational therapy standardized tests and measures.
- Broad knowledge of occupational therapy theory and practice within a client and family‑centred model of care.
- Broad knowledge of other health care disciplines and their role in client care.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Ability to teach and empower clients to assume control over their health.




- Ability to communicate effectively with co‑workers and clients both one‑on‑one and in groups.
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.
- Ability to provide effective consultation.
- Ability to establish workload priorities in a complex health care environment.
- Ability to recognize when referral to another health care professional is required.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Skilled in the use of equipment and techniques appropriate for occupational therapy treatment.
- Basic computer literacy.
