Helical Pile Solutions is a deep foundations contractor with over 30 years of experience in the industry, recently acquired by Java Holdings Ltd. ("Java"). Java staff have over 50 years of experience building some of Canada's largest electrical infrastructure projects. We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Analyst for our growing team in the Edmonton area. This position will be based out of our Calgary Quarry Park office location.Reporting to the Team Lead, IT Infrastructure, the IT Infrastructure Analyst is key to the successful operation of the Network, Server, and Microsoft 365 infrastructure.Key Accountabilities:Infrastructure - OverallProvide technical expertise for the setup and installation of infrastructure in line with corporate and project objectivesProvide hardware infrastructure solutions in line with software technical requirementsPerform installation and maintenance for all on-premises and cloud server hardware and network infrastructureMonitor infrastructure health, availability, and performance, and proactively address system issues before service impacts occurPerform regular infrastructure reviews to maintain system reliability, performance, and patch complianceProvide support and administration for third party security applications and hardwareCoordinate with vendors, Internet Service Providers (ISPs), and service providers to support infrastructure operations and issue resolutionFollow established change management processes and participate in the planning, implementation, validation, and documentation of infrastructure changesMaintain accurate infrastructure documentation including network diagrams, system configurations, operational procedures, disaster recovery documentation, and support standardsSupport the deallocation of infrastructure in line with company policy and applicable regulationsMaintain accurate ticket, time, and activity records within the IT service management platform to support operational reporting and inter-company billing requirementsWork collaboratively with other teams within all Java Group of CompaniesInfrastructure - NetworkProvide secure network solutions to integrate business units to ensure transparent and secure information accessEnsure appropriate network services are designed, implemented, and maintained (DHCP, DNS, VLAN, IP schemes)Perform Network Device (Switch, Router) installation, configuration,



and ongoing managementPerform Firewall installation, configuration, and ongoing managementAssist with Wireless Network Management (Access Controller, Access Points, SSID Management)Assist with secure remote access solutions including VPNAssist with SSL and Web Domain ManagementEnsure Data Centre cleanliness and cabling standards are metInfrastructure - ServerEnsure the storage, access, and sharing of company data aligns with corporate policies, standards, and agreements with external partnersAssist with overall Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID administration, including hybrid identity synchronization, authentication, access management, user administration, and group administrationAdminister and support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft 365 GroupsMonitor and maintain Microsoft 365 tenant health, licensing, and service configurationsAssist with email administration, mail flow troubleshooting, and Exchange Online managementDevelop and maintain Microsoft Intune device management policies and configurationsSupport authentication services including Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and third-party identity integrations in collaboration with the Security TeamAssist with administration and support of cloud-based infrastructure and services within Microsoft Azure and AWS environmentsAssist with the administration, monitoring, and testing of backup and recovery solutions to ensure recoverability of business systems and dataProvide infrastructure support for application development for the secure storage of source code, application deployment routines, backups, and user trainingParticipate in infrastructure integration, migration, and modernization initiatives associated with acquisitions, corporate growth, and technology lifecycle projectsRequirementsEducation and Work Experience Required:Post-secondary education in Computer Science or similar equivalent work experienceMinimum 5 years of relevant work experience with a focus on network,



server and system administrationProficiency in Microsoft Windows Server and Linux Operating SystemsProven experience administering Windows Server, VMware and/or Hyper-V, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange Online, Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Teams, and IntuneExperience in management of storage and data backup systemsSolid Networking skills (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, Firewalls, Switches & Access Points)Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio)Good understanding of Cloud computing environments with a focus on Microsoft Azure and AWSExperience developing and maintaining administrative automation using Microsoft PowerShellExperience with authentication and Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions in hybrid environmentsSkills and Other Experience Desired:Relevant industry certifications such as Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, Azure, AWS, ITIL, CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent certifications would be considered an assetWork experience within a Veeam environment and/or Datto BCDRExperience with MDM and MAM systems and solutionsFamiliar with relational database management systems including SQL serverStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsEnergetic, goal oriented, detail conscious and methodical in their approach to projectsExcellent work ethic, valuable written / verbal communication skills and able to communicate effectively over various mediums while maintaining IT department's commitment to customer excellenceExperience managing multi-stakeholder, fast moving, complex projectsAbility to connect to company core values (Innovation, Community, Excellence, Safety)Positive attitude, team player, and change agentOther Position Requirements:After-hours on-call availability in accordance with company policyValid driver's license and potential use of a personal vehicle for travelAbility to sit for extended periods of time and use a computerAbility to lift computers, servers, and peripheral devicesStay informed on new and emerging trends and technologiesMaintain and enhance technical skills through ongoing training, professional development, and industry certificationBenefitsExtended Healthcare Plan (Medical, Disability, Dental & Vision)Group Life - AD&D - Critical Illness InsurancePaid Time Off BenefitsTraining & DevelopmentEmployee Assistance Program - CounselingRRSP Matching#J-18808-Ljbffr
