- Assisting cooks, sous‑chef, and chef in providing high quality food to residents and ensuring all dishes meet ware‑washing procedures.
- Keeping the dining area tables and dining room clean at all times.
- Recording dish machine temperatures and testing water to verify cleaning solution concentration.
- Assisting with all catering functions.
- Liaising with the immediate supervisor to inform, consult, and problem‑solve any serious service issues.
- Checking and recording dish machine temperatures on established forms.
- Maintaining the food services area clean according to Public Health standards.
- Keeping the surrounding area clean and maintained per procedures.
- Exchanging all required information between staff members during shift change.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a fast‑paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Ability to lift up to a minimum of 25 pounds.
- Food Safe Handler’s certificate from a recognized institution.
- First Aid CPR Level C Certificate (required).
- Police Check with Vulnerable Sector clearance (mandated).
