This role provides leadership across the full employee development lifecycle, from organizational training strategy and program design through implementation, delivery, competency management, performance measurement, and continuous improvement.As a trusted leader, the Senior Manager, Training partners closely with Operations, Human Resources, Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), Quality, the Project Management Office (PMO), and business leaders to build workforce capability and organizational effectiveness. This role ensures all training initiatives align with corporate objectives, operational excellence standards, regulatory requirements, and workforce development priorities.This is an ideal opportunity for a strategic learning and development professional who combines solid leadership, business acumen, and adult learning expertise with a passion for building high-performing teams and creating a culture of continuous learning.What would you be doing?Develop and implement FLINT's enterprise-wide training and development framework.Align learning programs with business objectives, workforce planning, and operational priorities.Establish training standards, competency pathways,



and governance practices across the organization.Lead the development and execution of training programs across Leadership Development, HSE, Quality, PMO, HR, and other corporate functions.Ensure programs are standardized, scalable, and effective across all business units and regions.Drive adoption and utilization of FLINT Academy and other learning platforms.Workforce Capability & PerformanceEstablish competency frameworks, career progression pathways, and leadership development programs.Support workforce readiness, certification, compliance, and succession planning initiatives.Measure training effectiveness through KPIs and continuously improve programs based on business needs and feedback.Leadership & Stakeholder PartnershipPartner with senior leaders and functional teams to identify capability gaps and support organizational effectiveness.Act as a strategic advisor on learning, development, and workforce capability.Lead, mentor, and develop the Training and Talent Development team while fostering a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence.Perks of the jobCompetitive compensationHealth coverage for you and your familyGenerous number of vacation days each yearOpportunity for growth/advancement/developmentRRSP matchingQualificationsDegree or Diploma in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Adult Learning,



or a related field.Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in training, learning and development, organizational development, or adult learning.Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing training, learning, or talent development teams.Demonstrated experience building, implementing, and scaling enterprise-wide training frameworks.Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, competency management, leadership development, and workforce capability planning.Experience working in industrial, construction, energy, or project-based environments is considered an asset.Additional InformationAs a condition of employment, qualified applicants who accept the role must complete a satisfactory pre-employment Background Check.
