Duties And Responsibilities Your Role:
– Cultivate meaningful connections
- Support and respect JC’s decision making and choices.
- Engage in day-to-day activities and routines with JC, including supporting J.C with a cleaning routine and meal-prep.
– Elevate JC’s dignity and self-esteem by assisting in realizing his full potential. – Consistently implement Individual Service Plans.
– Communicate respectfully and professionally with families, supports, and the public.
Reports To Program Manager
Rate Of Pay CSW: $24.50/hour to $26.65/hour
Probation 3 months
Driving Requirement Driver's license (Class 5)
Preferred Qualities Preferred Training or Experience:
- Exudes calmness, confidence, flexibility, friendliness, and respect.
- Strong negotiation abilities and boundary-setting are crucial.
- Person-centred.
- Emphasizes building a trusting relationship, empowering JC in directing his support services.
- Human services sector experience is required. Experience in trauma-informed care and supporting marginalized populations is an asset.
Training Preferences – MANDT training preferred. – Active support
Specific Training Or Experience Required
- Supporting People who get anxious
- Ability to motivate, encourage and engage the interests of others.
- Computer proficiency (email, Word, internet usage)
