• Integrated Academic Planning and Strategic Initiatives Recruitment Type Regular Full Time Category Admin and Support Services # of Hires Needed 1 Closing Date August 17, 2026 Reporting to the Associate Vice President Integrated Academic Planning and Strategic Initiatives, the incumbent leads the creation and implementation of processes to integrate planning and program development activities in the portfolio. The manager synthesizes input from academic and support units across the portfolio and other areas of the university to develop planning documents that reflect the university’s academic priorities. The incumbent works with faculty and staff in developing new programs and monitoring program quality. Possessing a thorough understanding of policies and procedures, the individual provides oversight of program approval processes and monitors progress of initiatives from initial concept through to implementation. The manager also undertakes projects that support priorities of the Vice President Academic and Provost such as development and implementation of new initiatives; discontinuation of programs; and other centralized activities.

Requirements - An undergraduate degree complemented by a minimum of ten years of senior administrative experience in public sector (university preferred) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Highly developed and sophisticated ability to gather and synthesize information in a comprehensive fashion, preparing concise and clear communications in a variety of written formats.
- Well-developed, effective communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to liaise with clients and stakeholders, managing issues of a sensitive nature and resolving conflicts in a professional manner.
- Ability to think strategically, within a general frame of reference,
assessing priorities and operational requirements.
- Experienced in interpretation and application of policy and ability to develop corresponding business processes and guidelines.
- Familiarity with program development, delivery and evaluation in a post-secondary setting, including quality assurance and governance structures.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to work to tight deadlines and deal with a high level of organizational complexity.
- Demonstrates an ability to work both independently and on a team, with a proactive service-oriented approach when liaising with clients and anticipating issues or operational needs, including the appropriate follow up to ensure goals and objectives are met.
Additional Information
This is a regular, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week. This position has been evaluated at MPT-C with a salary range of $78,723 (minimum) to $92,515 (midpoint) to $106,305 (maximum) per annum. Employment offers will normally be made between the minimum and midpoint of the range and are determined by knowledge, experience and internal equity.
