Role Description The Accounting Bookkeeper is a part time, on-site role based in Mississauga, ON. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, including posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and preparing basic financial reports. Day-to-day tasks include managing accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices and payments, and assisting with payroll and expense tracking.

Bookkeeper will also support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensure proper use of accounting software, and collaborate with management to provide timely financial information. Attention to detail, confidentiality, and adherence to accounting standards are essential in this position.

Qualifications

- Strong bookkeeping skills, including accurate record-keeping and handling journal entries (Accounting).
- Proficiency in accounting software and common office productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, ERP or accounting systems).
- Knowledge of and experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and basic tax-related processes.
- Relevant education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification or coursework is an asset.
- Excellent numerical aptitude, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work on-site in Mississauga, ON and collaborate effectively with operations and management teams.
- Previous experience in a retail, manufacturing, or distribution environment is an advantage.
