JOB DESCRIPTIONOur client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for a Manager, Portfolio Analytics & Insights - SAS, SQL, Python to analyze performance across acquisition channels, programs, and segments to identify key risk drivers. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.Location:Hybrid | Downtown, TorontoDuration:6 MonthsTypical Day in role:1. Portfolio Monitoring & AnalyticsDesign, develop, and maintain portfolio monitoring dashboards and scorecards (Power BI or equivalent) covering:Credit performance, delinquency trends, losses, PCL, vintages, and early warning indicatorsPerform deep-dive analytics to investigate portfolio trends, variances, and emerging risksAnalyze performance across acquisition channels, programs, and segments to identify key risk driversExecute complex data extraction, transformation, and analysis using SQL, SAS, Python, and/or Excel2. Insights Generation & Data StorytellingTranslate analytics into clear, structured, and actionable insights for senior leadershipSupport development of executive-ready materials for governance forums, regulatory requests, and business reviewsProvide recommendations to improve portfolio performance, credit quality, and risk-adjusted returnsDelivering timely and high-quality responses to ad-hoc analytical requests3. Data Management, Quality & ControlsEnsure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting and analytics outputsPerform reconciliation, validation, and quality control checks across multiple data sourcesProactively identify and resolve data issues, gaps, and inconsistenciesMaintain documentation on data logic, definitions, and methodologies to support audit and governance requirements4. Process Enhancement & AutomationIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and consistency of reporting processesDrive automation and standardization initiatives using SQL, SAS/Python,



and BI toolsContribute to the evolution of portfolio monitoring frameworks and data infrastructure5. Stakeholder Collaboration & Business SupportPartner with stakeholders across Product, Finance, Collections, and Strategy teams to support initiatives such as:New programs or policy changesCredit strategy adjustmentsPortfolio risk assessmentsProvide subject matter expertise on portfolio performance and risk driversBuild strong working relationships and influence decision-making through data-driven insightsMust Have Skills:8+ years' experience in data/statistical analysis5+ years' experience with large datasets using SAS, SQL, PythonExperience converting SAS/SQL code to Python codeNice-To-Have Skills:Retail credit risk knowledge, especially credit cards and ULOC - is a robust preferenceExperience with consumer credit performance data & risk metricsExperience working in financial services analytics environmentsExperience with data visualization & reporting tools: Power BI, ExcelSoft Skills Required:Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skillsHigh attention to detail and data accuracyEffective communication and data storytellingAbility to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentOwnership mindset with a proactive approach to identifying opportunitiesEducation:Bachelor's degree in quantitative or business discipline (e.G., Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science)Graduate degree considered an assetFP Inc. is committed to creating an inclusive environment where all team members and clients feel like they belong.
