Job Overview

Duties
- Assist with reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to understand project requirements.
- Support the construction and installation of structures such as framing, siding, and concrete forms using hand tools and power tools.
- Participate in concrete finishing and forming activities to ensure smooth surfaces and accurate shapes.
- Operate heavy equipment and tools safely for tasks like heavy lifting, demolition, or material transport.
- Help with woodworking projects, including cutting, shaping, and assembling wood components.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all activities, including heavy equipment operation and use of power tools.
- Contribute to restoration projects by repairing or replacing damaged structures with precision and care.
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of carpentry principles, including blueprint reading and schematic interpretation.
- Prior construction experience or familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and woodworking is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work effectively in physically demanding environments.
- Strong interest in learning concrete forming, concrete finishing, welding, and other specialized trades within construction.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward safety and quality standards.
- Willingness to learn from experienced tradespeople and develop technical skills on the job.
- Valid physical ability to stand, bend, lift heavy materials, and operate machinery as needed.
