Architect - EUC and Contemporary Workplace Technology This posting represents an opportunity to shape the technology landscape for Giant Tiger’s stores, Home Office, and the Montréal Buying Office. Our hybrid role at our Ottawa Home Office gives you flexibility while allowing onsite collaboration in our test store lab. This is a hybrid role based out of our Ottawa Home Office.
While there are no set in‑office days, the successful candidate must be willing and able to work onsite as needed to utilize our test store lab and support testing, validation, and implementation activities. Coordinate, develop, and document the technical vision and roadmap for End User Computing (EUC) and modern workplace technologies that enable and support Giant Tiger stores, Home Office, the Montréal Buying Office, and all team members, partnering with Enterprise Architecture to ensure the strategy meets current and future business needs. Coordinate, develop, and document the security vision and roadmap for EUC and modern workplace technologies that protect store, Home Office, and Montréal Buying Office environments, partnering with Information Security to ensure solutions align with organizational security policies, standards, and compliance requirements.
Ensure EUC, mobile, and modern workplace infrastructure is secure, available, current, recoverable, optimized, scalable, and cost‑effective to deliver a reliable technology experience for store teams, Home Office, the Montréal Buying Office, and all Giant Tiger team members while supporting business growth. Ensure messaging and collaboration platforms (Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Microsoft 365) are secure, well‑managed, maintained,
recoverable, and up to date, following best practices to maximize collaboration and productivity for employees across stores, Home Office, and the Montréal Buying Office. Establish and maintain documented patch management processes for EUC and workplace technologies supporting stores, Home Office, and the Montréal Buying Office, ensuring compliance with Information Security policies and standards while minimizing business disruption.
University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or information systems with 5+ years related to Microsoft M365, InTune and Azure experience. Real‑world experience and a proven track record in delivering enterprise grade collaboration, mobile device management and workplace technologies. A thorough understanding of existing and emerging M365 and related core technologies.
Strong understanding of project management principles, providing planning and implementation leadership. Ability to evaluate and recommend EUC and workplace technologies to be used within the enterprise. Deep knowledge and experience using skilled services for the planning, delivery, and support of EUC and workplace technologies.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows technologies, Linux, O365, mobile device management, end‑point protection/detection (EPP)/(EDR) and PKI infrastructure. A passion for assessing emerging technologies and staying abreast of industry trends and determining how they may influence department strategy. Expertise in road‑map development and the integration of EUC and workplace technologies into existing enterprise technology landscape.
Technically adept and knowledgeable with established relationships with key vendors, including Microsoft, IBM, Apple, Dell, Crestron, and other enterprise vendors. Demonstrated expertise in data reporting, metrics, and analysis. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across geographically dispersed teams and communicate technical concepts, solutions, and project updates to technical, business, and executive stakeholders.

Tiger will consider factors such as experience, skills and internal equity to ensure you are paid competitively. Short‑Term Incentive Plan : This role includes an annual bonus opportunity based on the percentage of base salary listed above, with payout determined by company and individual performance.
