To operate production line machines and equipment ensuring maximum line efficiencies and productivity.

Duties &

Responsibilities

▪ Start up and shut down all production lines, machines and equipment ▪ Monitor all machines and equipment to ensure operational standards,

efficiencies and product quality is met ▪ Perform minor troubleshooting of machines and equipment such as changing grinding wheels and honing stones ▪ Perform quality checks of finished product ▪ Pack finished product and stack boxes on skids

JOB POSTING ▪ Cooperate with and assist other team members ▪ Maintain production data electronically ▪ Communicate pertinent information regarding machine issues and product quality issues to Supervisor, Technicians and other shifts ▪ Perform 5S activities

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Technical and mechanical aptitude




- Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical problems
- Numeracy skills
- Mathematical aptitude
- Valuable vision, manual dexterity
- Intermediate computer skills
- Ability to lift, load and handle various size production parts with average weights of 35 pounds

Education and

Professional

Experience

- Completion of secondary school
- Post-secondary vocational / technical or trade training an asset
- Previous work experience with machines, hand tools, power tools an asset
- Previous machine operator work experience in an industrial manufacturing facility an asset

Requirements
