JM Wellness Services is seeking a creative, compassionate, and experienced Art Therapist to join our team and provide individualized art therapy services to children and teenagers.

Responsibilities:

- Provide individualized art therapy sessions to children and teenagers based on their individual needs and goals.
- Develop engaging, age-appropriate, and individualized art-based activities.
- Use creative expression to support communication, emotional expression, social skills, self-regulation, and overall development.
- Work under the direction and supervision of a Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA), collaborating on client goals, treatment planning, and progress.
- Communicate regularly with the RBA regarding client progress, observations, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with caregivers and other members of the client’s multidisciplinary team.




- Maintain accurate and timely session documentation and progress notes.
- Adapt activities and approaches to meet each client’s developmental and individual needs.

Qualifications:

- Education and training in Art Therapy or a related field.
- Experience working with children and teenagers.
- Experience working with children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is considered an asset.
- Robust communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Professional registration/certification, where applicable.
- Vulnerable Sector Check required.

Pay: From $60.00 per hour Work Location: On the road
