Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and preparation of paving sites, including moving materials and equipment into position
- Occassionally Operate heavy equipment such as rollers, skid steers, or loaders under supervision to support paving operations
- Help with the placement and spreading of asphalt using shovels, rakes, or other tools to ensure even surfaces
- Support the team in maintaining safety protocols on-site, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Collaborate with team members to complete paving projects efficiently and to high-quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and assist in the proper storage of tools and materials
Qualifications
- 1+ years experience in construction or paving is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to operate or learn to operate heavy machinery safely and effectively
- Physical stamina to stand, lift, shovel, and perform manual tasks for extended periods
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward safety and quality work
- Basic understanding of construction site safety procedures and protocols
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are a must for this role
