- Provides crisis counselling, crisis management, advocacy, and outreach services to individuals affected by intimate partner violence
- Assesses client needs and connects them with community resources. Facilitates groups, workshops, and public education initiatives
- Maintains documentation and reporting requirements, collaborates with community partners, supports agency outreach and committees
- Participates in clinical supervision
- Provides court caseworker coverage as needed
- Works flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

- Completed degree in BSW or BISW
- 3-5 yrs of direct experience
- Eligible for registration with & maintain good standing in a relevant professional association
- Knowledge of counselling theories and practices, including crisis intervention, short-term counselling, human development, behavioural change, communication, conflict resolution, interviewing, assessment, and evaluation techniques
- Comprehensive understanding of intimate partner violence, abuse dynamics, coercive control, risk factors, and experience supporting survivors using trauma- and violence-informed approaches.
- Skilled in group facilitation and knowledgeable about community resources related to IPV. Demonstrates cultural sensitivity and effectiveness in working with Indigenous, immigrant, refugee, and newcomer populations.
- Familiar with the justice system, domestic violence court processes, and the impacts of addictions, mental health concerns, and FASD
- Possesses strong interpersonal, ethical, organizational, and teamwork skills, with the ability to manage caseloads, work independently, adapt to changing priorities
- Maintain a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
