UBC Faculty of Management Assistant Professor Tenure Track Position in Finance at the University of British Columbia The Faculty of Management at the University of British Columbia (Okanagan Campus) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level. We are inviting applications from candidates with expertise in at least one of the areas of asset pricing, corporate finance, and/or behavioral finance, particularly those combining rigorous theoretical insights with empirical methods. Near completion or completion of a PhD from an AACSB-accredited business school in Finance
- A strong research record in at least one of the areas of asset pricing, corporate finance, and/or behavioral finance, with publications or clear potential for publication in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals in Finance or a closely related discipline
- Must demonstrate expertise in empirical research methods relevant to the Finance discipline
- Demonstrated teaching excellence in Finance
- Demonstrated commitment to professional, undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctoral education
- A commitment to the principles of Equity Diversity, and Inclusion
- Duties include: developing and maintaining an active, high-impact research program aimed at making a significant contribution to the profession with publications in leading finance journals; teaching in our undergraduate and graduate programs, supervising Ph.D. students in the Interdisciplinary Graduate Studies program; as well as contributing to other teaching and administrative initiatives of the Faculty of Management. Teaching and service requirements are similar to other research-intensive universities. Candidates are expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses.
