Position Overview

This competitive position is open to all applicants. Internal candidates and former University of Alberta employees are given priority consideration.

Location: In-person at Augustana Campus, Camrose (Treaty 6 territory). The role is based primarily in Augustana Campus, Camrose.

Appointment: Part‑time for an initial four‑month term during Winter Term 2027 (January 4 – April 9, 2027) with exam period following.

Responsibilities

- Develop and present lectures and labs in analytical chemistry.
- Prepare, administer, and grade examinations and other course assessments.
- Maintain regularly scheduled office hours to respond to student questions.

Qualifications

- A Master’s degree in chemistry with proficiency in analytical chemistry or a related area.




- Demonstrated excellence or strong potential in teaching at the post‑secondary level.

Compensation

Salary will be commensurate with experience in accordance with Schedule D of the Collective Agreement between the Board of Governors of the University of Alberta and the Association of the Academic Staff of the University of Alberta.
