Position Summary
Reporting to Manager, Ramp Operations, the Baggage Agent is responsible for ensuring efficient and secure baggage handling processes.
Baggage
Agents are responsible for accurately sorting baggage according to flight number and baggage priority levels (Confirmed, Standby, Space Available).
The Baggage
Agent also operates the x-ray machine to screen baggage for contraband and illicit substances. This position emphasizes adherence to customer service excellence and on-time performance.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Accurately sort baggage based on flight number and baggage priority
Operate x-ray machine to screen baggage for contraband and illicit substances
Collaborate with other Baggage Agents and relevant personnel to meet deadlines and ensure smooth operations
Maintain strict adherence to on-time performance policies and procedures
Actively participate in the Company’s Safety Management System
Perform additional duties as assigned Minimum Education, Experience and Certifications High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent
Previous experience in warehouse operations or baggage handling considered an asset
Successful completion of a Xray Screening Training, achieved through participation in a recognized training program, or enrollment in our in-house Xray Screening Training
Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations
Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training considered an asset Working Conditions Physically able to perform all listed job duties
Travel by aircraft and other means as required by role
Use of safety equipment as required and applicable to role
Able to lift and carry up to 50lbs
May be required to stand for several hours a day
Various shifts at a fast pace in order to meet service level requirements of the airline
Able to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
