Universal is seeking qualified and highly motivated Security Professionals to join our Security Operations team in OTTAWA , Ontario , supporting a Government of Canada contract. This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, thrive in fast-paced operational environments, and are committed to delivering exceptional security services. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring security systems, coordinating emergency communications, responding to incidents, and maintaining situational awareness while adhering to Government of Canada security protocols and established operational procedures.

Security Clearance Requirement: Citizen or PR holder) Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada Reliability Status Security Clearance . An existing Reliability Status or Secret Security Clearance is considered a strong asset.

Professionals - Government site - Floater Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour Employment Type: full-Time or Part-time and Casual Schedule: Monday through Sunday Hours: Various shifts (days, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays) # Monitor CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and other electronic security systems. Dispatch security personnel and coordinate incident response activities. Communicate professionally and effectively in English and French with security personnel,



site management, Government of Canada representatives, and emergency responders.

Monitor, identify, and report security threats, operational disruptions, and critical incidents. Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive government and operational information.

Valid Provincial Security Guard

Licence. High school diploma or equivalent. Must have resided in Canada for a minimum of 5 years in order to obtain a Reliability Government Clearance Minimum of six (6) months to 1 year of Security Guard experience Fluency in English (spoken and written). Reliable transportation to work at multiple sites within the GTA Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general computer applications. Ability to work rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays.

Experience working in a government, critical infrastructure, or corporate security environment.

Experience operating CCTV, access control, alarm monitoring, and incident management systems. Bilingualism in English and French is considered a strong asset.

Existing

Government of Canada Reliability Status or Secret Security Clearance. Extended periods of monitoring multiple security systems and platforms. ~ Overtime opportunities may be available based on operational requirements. Competitive hourly compensation.
