The John Howard Society of York Region seeks adult residents within the Region with a passion for maintaining healthy communities through crime prevention, intervention, and reintervention. You will have demonstrated leadership skills and be committed to partnering with the Board and Executive Director to provide excellence in oversight and strategic leadership. You have a reputation for sound judgment and open mindedness, and a demonstrated capacity for thoughtful group decision-making.
Time commitments include attending monthly or quarterly Board meetings, totaling approximately 3 hours per meeting, as well as committee involvement. Meetings are currently held virtually. Board members are unpaid volunteers, with the initial Term of Office being one year.
