Job Overview
We are a small manufacturing company located in southeast Calgary, and currently looking for an Intermediate Bookkeeper to join our team. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll, managing benefits and handling general ledger entries. You will be responsible for full-cycle bookkeeping tasks and contributing to the smooth financial operations of our business.
This is a part-time position with a minimum of 24 hours per week. There is potential for this role to grow into a full-time position in the future. Hours are flexible within our regular business hours, which are Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Responsibilities
- Manage incoming payments, prepare and send invoices, and ensure timely collection of outstanding accounts
- Full Accounts payable cycle including receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices
- Reconcile bank statements
- Process Payroll and remittances
- Prepare and file GST
- Manage, execute, and complete year-end books/reviews to go to tax accountant
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable,
accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
- Interact with government agencies (CRA, Service Canada, WCB etc.)
- Manage employee records and company benefits
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, visitors, phone calls, and office correspondence.
- Oversee day-to-day office operations, ordering office supplies, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
- Provide support to the team with other duties as required
- Must be fluent in English
Experience
- 3+ years’ experience with bookkeeping required
- Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Accounting or Business Administration would be a benefit.
- Proficient in Microsoft office including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Proficiency in accounting software – QuickBooks and worked with ERP systems.
- Knowledge of payroll systems and basic HR principles
- Able to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with labor laws, employment regulations, and office administration best practices
