Elevate your career with the University of Toronto as an Intermediate Building Automation Engineer. You'll manage BAS control systems, optimize HVAC deployments, and engage in sustainability initiatives in a full-time position. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Building Automation & Operations, the Intermediate Building Automation Engineer is pivotal in developing BAS surveillance schedules and tracking performance.
You will collaborate closely with Operations teams, providing technical expertise in BAS controls and troubleshooting HVAC control issues. This role includes responsible coordination of Building Automation Systems Control Room operations and offering consultation on design and installation projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and update BAS surveillance schedules and objectives
- Manage control room operations for BAS
- Provide technical guidance on HVAC systems
- Participate in building automation design reviews
- Implement alarm management strategies and reporting Requirements:
- Degree in Controls Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years in building automation systems
- Experience with HVAC instrumentation preferred
- Proven skills in team management in unionized settings
- Ontario P.Eng. license in valuable standing Utilize your expertise in BAS to ensure efficient operations and contribute to sustainability efforts at the University of Toronto.
