Join our team as a Cardiac Sonographer, performing advanced ultrasound imaging of the heart to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

Responsibilities

- Perform high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms, including exercise (treadmill/bike) and dobutamine stress echocardiograms

- Prepare and monitor patients throughout procedures, explaining exams and ensuring comfort

- Operate and optimize cardiac ultrasound equipment for diagnostic quality images

- Perform peripheral IV insertion/venipuncture for administration of contrast agents (e.g., Definity®) and stress agents, per physician orders and protocol

- Monitor patients before, during, and after contrast or stress testing; recognize and communicate adverse reactions promptly

- Collaborate with cardiologists and staff; communicate critical or unexpected findings promptly

- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with privacy and healthcare regulations

- Maintain, calibrate, and clean equipment per safety standards





- Stay current with advances in echocardiography and stress imaging through continuing education

Requirements

- Proven experience as a Cardiac Sonographer/Echocardiography Technologist

- Proficiency with cardiac ultrasound equipment

- Competency in peripheral IV insertion;

experience with contrast-enhanced echo preferred

- Experience performing exercise and/or pharmacologic (dobutamine) stress echocardiography

- Knowledge of indications, protocols, and adverse reactions for Definity® and stress agents

- Solid grasp of cardiology/echocardiography terminology

- Excellent communication skills for patient and team interaction

- Ability to follow clinical protocols with flexibility in a fast-paced setting

- Applicable certification/registration/licensure

- Knowledge of infection prevention and imaging equipment standards

- Current BLS/CPR certification (per institutional policy)

Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
