CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CEO)

Location: Regina, Saskatchewan

Reports to: Board of Directors

OBJECTIVE AND SCOPE

Reporting to the Board of Directors and based at beautiful Mosaic Stadium, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, fund development, operations, and financial sustainability of the Saskatchewan Roughrider Foundation. As the public face of the Foundation, the CEO ensures the successful execution of its strategic plan while advancing its mission through meaningful community partnerships and positive impact across Saskatchewan.

The CEO works collaboratively with the Board of Directors, the Saskatchewan Roughrider Football Club, donors, volunteers, community partners, and other key stakeholders to support the Foundation's continued growth and long-term sustainability. This role is responsible for leading the organization through its next phase of growth by expanding and diversifying philanthropic fundraising through corporate partnerships, major giving, legacy giving, and other strategic initiatives, while enhancing the Foundation's impact across Saskatchewan.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Partner with the Board of Directors to develop and execute a strategic vision that aligns with the Foundation's mission and values.
- Serve as a strategic relationship builder, fostering alignment and collaboration across all levels of the Saskatchewan Roughrider Football Club to support and grow the Foundation's work.
- Facilitate the development and execution of the Foundation's strategic plan, ensuring measurable outcomes and organizational accountability.
- Develop and implement an annual business plan featuring measurable strategic impact goals and balanced scorecard metrics.
- Lead the Foundation through its next stage of organizational growth by strengthening operational capacity, diversifying revenue sources, and ensuring long-term organizational sustainability.




- Lead and execute successful multi-year fundraising strategies and activities while respecting the brand and values of both the Saskatchewan Roughrider Football Club and the Foundation.
- Maintain proactive and transparent communication with the Board, providing the information and insights necessary for effective governance and decision-making.
- Responsible for fiscal management, including operating within the Board-approved budget, ensuring responsible resource utilization, risk management, and sustaining the Foundation's positive financial position.
- Ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements, including Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA) regulations and charitable reporting standards.
- Oversee the Foundation's financial model while achieving annual fundraising and community investment objectives.
- Design, oversee, and evaluate community programs that align with the Foundation's pillars of Amateur Football, Health, and Education.
- Support and enhance engagement with Rider Nation by maintaining a visible presence in the community and working collaboratively with donors, volunteers, corporate partners, government, and community organizations.
- Identify, cultivate, and steward meaningful relationships with current and prospective donors, sponsors, and strategic partners.

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. A CFRE designation is considered an asset.
- Five or more years of progressive senior leadership experience within the charitable, nonprofit, foundation, or comparable sector.




- Proven success in developing and executing fundraising strategies, including major gifts, corporate partnerships, donor stewardship, and achieving sustainable fundraising growth.
- Demonstrated ability to translate Board direction into strategic and operational plans that achieve measurable results.
- Experience building and maintaining strong relationships with donors, corporate partners, government, community organizations, and volunteers.
- Demonstrated ability to lead organizational growth, drive change, and build sustainable operational capacity.
- Strong financial acumen with experience overseeing budgets, financial planning, and organizational performance.
- Experience working with or reporting to a governance Board while maintaining transparent and effective communication.
- Demonstrated ability to represent an organization publicly with professionalism, credibility, and integrity.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships while balancing the interests of diverse stakeholders in a complex environment.
- A valid driver's license is required for occasional travel throughout the province.
