Responsibilities

Assist dentists during various dental procedures, including examinations, cleanings, restorations, and orthodontic treatments.

Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.

Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols and medical terminology standards.

Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring patient comfort throughout visits.

Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic, documenting treatment details thoroughly.

Support front desk operations by managing patient check-ins, scheduling appointments,



and coordinating with the dental receptionist team.

Assist with orthodontic procedures and pediatric dentistry cases to ensure specialized care is delivered seamlessly.

Ensure clinical areas are clean, organized, and compliant with health regulations to promote safety for patients and staff.

Skills

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with certification from an accredited program.

Strong knowledge of dental assisting techniques, medical terminology, and infection control procedures.

Experience working with dental software for record-keeping and scheduling.

Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.

Knowledge of dental radiography safety standards and proficiency in taking high-quality X-rays.
