About Foragers

Foragers Meadery is a small independently owned restaurant in Roberts Creek, on the Sunshine Coast. We cook natural seasonal plates with a focus on local produce, fine dining techniques and artful presentation. The team is small and the CDP position is an integral part of our core, the ideal candidate will not only need to require the technical skill to maintain in a high-pressure environment but also the personality to meld and get along well with our small team.

Requirements

- 5 years kitchen experience with 2 years fine dining experience.
- Must be willing to work 10-11 hours on their feet daily 5 days a week.

- Has a sense of urgency, can move quickly and decisively.
- Is reliable and consistent, They will be a major part of a very small team and as such systems will be built around them that will be difficult to maintain without them present.
- Is willing to accept constructive criticism in order to better themselves, their work and the restaurant

- Wants to challenge themselves daily and develop their skills into the next level.
- Has genuine passion for their craft.

The kitchen consists of one head chef, one sous chef, one chef de partie, one pastry cook, 1 dishwasher. The person we are looking for will fill the chef de partie position. As CDP you will be responsible for all cold plates leaving the kitchen (cold apps, cold garnishes, desserts ETC.). You will be given the opportunity to develop current cold apps with the head chef and work in tandem with our pastry cook to ensure the desserts are executed properly. You will also be responsible for the cleanliness of your area and assist with the overall cleaning of the kitchen as well as all regular kitchen duties that are shared amongst the team. Pay: $58,000.00 per year
