Mining Trainers - Hecla Keno Hill - 14/14 - FIFO + Camp - Up to $45.39/hr - AB, BC, YT

Hecla Mining Company is seeking Underground Mine Trainers to join their team at the Hecla Keno Hill mine site. These professionals will lead hands-on training for underground lateral development and production miners, ensuring safety and operational excellence in a narrow vein hard rock mining environment. The ideal candidates are experienced miners with a passion for training and a solid commitment to safety and environmental stewardship. This is a fly-in fly-out role with a rotational schedule and comprehensive benefits.

What You’ll Need

- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 5+ years of underground mining experience
- 5+ years operating single boom jumbos, CMAC bolters, jack legs/stopers, scissor decks, and muckers
- Yukon Permanent First Line Supervisor Certificate or ability to obtain
- Valid Yukon Blasting certificate or ability to obtain
- Mine rescue certification highly regarded
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and clean driver’s abstract
- Criminal Record Clearance
- Pre-employment testing (drug & alcohol, blood lead, audiogram)
- Ability to work in extreme weather and challenging underground conditions

What Will Make You Stand Out

- Experience with “Train the Trainer” and a strong desire to train others
- Experience with narrow vein cut and fill mining in a fast-paced production setting
