This team develops the software infrastructure and decision‐making automation that allow quantum devices to be calibrated, monitored, and operated efficiently at scale.This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, experimental physics, and system automation. The successful candidate will help transform experimental procedures and device behavior into robust, scalable, and highly automated software systems.Keys responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain software systems supporting calibration, characterization, and operational workflows for quantum processors.Contribute to the architecture and evolution of Nord Quantique's calibration and device intelligence stack.Develop automation, orchestration, and decision‐making systems informed by experimental measurements and operational feedback.Collaborate with experimental teams to translate calibration and characterization procedures into scalable software workflows.Contribute to software quality through architecture discussions, code reviews, testing, and debuggingEducation and experience requirements :BSc or MSc in computer science, software engineering, physics, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience developing software in an R&D, scientific, industrial automation, or technically ambitious workplace.Experience developing software interacting with experimental hardware, instrumentation, or operational systems.Experience working in interdisciplinary environments involving close collaboration between software and scientific or engineering teams.Sought expertise and knowledge:Strong software development skills in Python.Experience designing automation, orchestration, or closed‐loop systems.Experience developing software for:Location Sherbrooke, QCWork location On siteSalary $ 143,500 to $ 166,500 YEAR annuallyTerms of employment Permanent employment Full timeStarts as soon as possiblevacancies 1 vacancySource Jobillico #17323127Sherbrooke, QCAdvertised until2026-09-05 #J-18808-Ljbffr
