The MIABC is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its claims and legal team. In this temporary full-time role, you will manage litigation claims from investigation to trial. Your responsibilities will include advising stakeholders, preparing legal documents, and negotiating settlements effectively.

Key Responsibilities: • Gather and assess information for claims investigations • Advise adjusters and communicate with members effectively • Prepare pleadings, opinions, and legal reports • Conduct trials and settlements at various court levels • Engage in educational seminars for members on legal issues

Requirements: • 3-7 years of litigation experience preferred • License to practice law in British Columbia • Solid integrity and client commitment • Excellent communication and public speaking skills • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 programs
