Objective and Scope The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of STC Industrial Group of Companies is a senior financial leadership position responsible for financial stewardship, reporting, and long-term financial sustainability of a multi-disciplined Indigenous-owned construction and manufacturing group.

The CFO ensures the organization's financial integrity, performance, and stability while supporting the shareholder mandate for Indigenous inclusion, particularly the participation of members from all seven STC Nations.

This position is accountable for financial strategy, reporting, capital management, systems improvement, and risk management across all entities within the Group. The CFO plays a critical role in supporting operational performance, improving margins, and enabling disciplined, sustainable growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Leadership and Strategy

- Partner with the President & CEO to develop and execute the organization's financial strategy, aligning financial priorities with operational performance, growth, and long-term sustainability.
- Provide strategic financial leadership through forecasting, scenario planning, financial modelling, and business analysis to support executive decision-making.
- Evaluate acquisitions, partnerships, investments, and other strategic growth opportunities through financial due diligence and business analysis.

Financial Management and Reporting

- Lead all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, financial planning, and consolidated financial reporting across all operating entities.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting in accordance with IFRS, regulatory requirements, and corporate governance standards.
- Develop meaningful financial and operational reporting, including project profitability, job costing, EBITDA, margin analysis,



and key performance indicators to improve business performance.
- Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and strategic analysis for the President & CEO and Board of Directors to support informed decision-making and organizational oversight.

Performance and Operational Support

- Partner with operational leaders to strengthen financial discipline, improve project execution, optimize cost control, and enhance profitability across the organization.
- Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, reporting, and decision-support tools to increase efficiency, visibility, and organizational performance.

Systems, Processes, and Controls

- Lead the evaluation and future implementation of a new ERP platform while enhancing financial systems, reporting capabilities, and data quality.
- Strengthen internal controls, financial policies, governance frameworks, and enterprise risk management practices, including financial, contractual, and insurance-related risks.

Capital Management and Funding

- Lead banking relationships, financing strategies, debt management, working capital, and capital planning to support organizational growth and long-term financial stability.
- Identify, evaluate, and support grant funding, preferred lending, and other financing opportunities that advance strategic growth initiatives.
- Maintain strong relationships with financial institutions, lenders, funding partners, and regulatory agencies.

Risk Management and Governance





- Oversee the annual audit process and maintain effective relationships with external auditors to ensure financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and sound governance.
- Support the Board of Directors by providing clear financial insights, risk assessments, and recommendations that enable effective governance and strategic decision-making.

Leadership and Team Development

- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team while building financial capability, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration across the organization.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience and Education

- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
- CPA designation is required.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive senior financial leadership experience. Experience within construction, manufacturing, industrial services or other project-based environments is ideal.
- Experience with ERP implementation, project accounting and multi-entity reporting is preferred.
- Experience presenting to a board of directors.
- Experience working with Indigenous organizations or communities is considered an asset.
