Stelvio are working with a client operating within the transportation technology sector to appoint a Director of Finance for its Safety and Enforcement division. Reporting to the VP of Finance, you will take responsibility for the division’s financial health, strategy and accounting operations. As a senior leader, you will provide transparent financial guidance, strengthen planning and analysis, and partner with executive stakeholders to support informe Analyse budget variances and review balance sheet and profit and loss accounts to ensure accurate financial statement Maintain and interpret a complete set of financial statements covering cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable and inventor Provide financial analysis to support contract negotiations and product investment decision Lead the Accounting Specialists responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, data entry and process suppor Work closely with the Manager of Project Finance and Operations Support on project accounting, resource planning,
scheduling and utilisatio Manage annual project and departmental budgets in partnership with executives and senior manager Prepare additional forecasts in response to contract change Establish and monitor daily cash balances and cash-flow forecast Prepare covenant calculations and reporting for banking partner Maintain banking relationships and contribute to short- and long-term liquidity forecastin Manage tax preparation and filing, including federal and state taxes completed by third-party provider Prepare and submit sales, corporate and other required tax form Act as the primary contact for the division’s insurance broker, managing policy queries, changes and renewal Arrange short- and long-term insurance policies and location permit Oversee provincial and local operating licence complianc Coordinate internal and external audits, providing documentation and subject-matter support for financial, banking, insurance and parent-company audit Ensure compliance with local, provincial and federal reporting obligations, tax legislation, regulatory requirements and audit standard Identify financial risks and implement appropriate mitigation measur onsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related fie Advanced financial modelling and analytical capabiliti Comprehensive knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory complian Advanced Microsoft Excel skil Competitive retirement plan with company match #
