Church Operations Supervisor

Onsite | Part-time (27.5 hours/week)

Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (30-minute unpaid lunch).

About the Role

Eden United Church is seeking a responsible, detail‑oriented Church Operations Supervisor to oversee the operation of the church office. Core responsibilities include staff supervision, rental management, reception, worship support, and general church administration.

This position works independently and is accountable to the Church Council.

Key Responsibilities

Staff Supervision: Supervise the work of the Property Superintendent. Co-ordinate and schedule support staff and volunteers for rental events including event hosts and audio/video operators.

Rental Management: Respond to rental inquiries and provide quotes; prepare rental contracts; maintain the room booking calendar; issue invoices and prepare bank deposits.

Reception: Welcome visitors, respond to phone and email inquiries

Worship Support: Prepare weekly worship materials (PowerPoint, Proclaim, bulletins)

Church Administration: Manage the church office (filing systems,



including the church’s database; supplies and the outdoor sign). Provide administrative support to the minister and to various committees, ministries and teams.

Experience & Qualifications

- Minimum 2 years of relevant supervision and coordination experience
- Strong administrative, organizational, communication and customer service skills
- Self starter with ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively with staff and volunteers.
- Strong critical thinking, initiative, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite; experience working with databases
- Willingness and ability to learn and use new software and technologies
- Fluency in English (verbal, written, and comprehension)
- Experience in a church or non-profit workplace is an asset.

Compensation & Benefits Hourly Rate: $27.50
