Clerk of Court - Part-Time File Clerk Hourly Rate: $15.00

Position Description The Clerk of the Circuit Court for Carroll County offers the position of a part time File Clerk in order to assist with basic filing, clerical, and other organizational duties in efforts to assist all citizens and members/officers of the Court.

Required Qualifications

- General office experience utilizing computer operations, word processing, spreadsheet development, and database management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrate excellent organization, detail, professionalism, and file data accuracy skills
- Have excellent customer service skills
- A minimum education of High School Diploma or GED is required

Job Responsibilities Significant duties include, but are not limited to the following:

- Properly file criminal case documents in order to provide assistance to the Clerk and Deputy Clerks




- Assist the Clerk and Deputy Clerks on organizational efforts of the office among each respective area(s)
- Properly clean, transfer, and file archival documents in the Archives Room
- Assist with scanning and indexing of court documents
- Manage any new duties and responsibilities regarding the sealing of certain documents pursuant to recent changes to the Code of Virginia
- Must be able to successfully work individually and as part of a team

This position reports directly to the Clerk of the Circuit Court, Mr. Gerald R. Goad
