Role Description The Co-Chief Executive Officer (Co-CEO) is a full time leadership role responsible for jointly defining and executing GroCORN’s overall vision, strategy, and business plans. Based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada, this hybrid position involves both in-office collaboration and remote work, allowing flexibility while ensuring strong presence for key meetings and stakeholder engagement. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing core business functions, guiding financial and operational performance, and aligning cross-functional teams on strategic priorities.

The Co-CEO will partner with the other Co-CEO and senior leaders to drive revenue growth, manage risk, strengthen governance, and nurture a high-performance, inclusive culture. The role also includes representing GroCORN with investors, customers, and external partners, and making informed decisions that support sustainable, scalable growth.

Qualifications To scale GroCORN effectively, a co-CEO needs complementary expertise in commercial expansion, digital platform architecture, and community ecosystem building.

​Marketplace & E-Commerce Scaling: Proven track record in scaling two-sided marketplaces,



optimizing seller acquisition, and driving revenue growth within digital commerce.

​Social Commerce & MarTech Expertise: Deep experience with AI-driven marketing automation, social commerce funnels, and vendor-facing SaaS tools.

​Capital Raising & Strategic Partnerships: Strong network with venture capital, impact investors, and strategic ecosystem partners to secure growth capital and enterprise integrations.

​Community & Impact Alignment: Clear commitment to empowering Black, Indigenous, and minority-owned SMEs, along with experience navigating inclusive economic development frameworks.

​Operational & Product Leadership: Capability to oversee go-to-market execution, cross-functional teams, and product delivery across web and mobile platforms.

Strong Finance skills, including budgeting, financial analysis, and performance monitoring.

Proven Operations Management capabilities to optimize processes, resources, and organizational efficiency.

Experience in Business Planning and Strategic Planning to define clear goals, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.

Demonstrated Sales expertise, including revenue development, customer relationship management, and market expansion.

Executive leadership experience in a growth-oriented or entrepreneurial environment, preferably at the C-suite or senior management level.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively as a co-leader.

Track record of building and leading diverse, high-performing teams and fostering an inclusive workplace culture.

Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with comfort in using data and metrics to drive strategy and operations.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Management, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is an asset.

Ability to work in a hybrid model within the Greater Toronto Area, with flexibility for in-person and remote responsibilities.
