Position: Commercial Account Manager

Location: Saskatoon, SK

Reports to: Commercial Manager

Objective and Scope The Commercial Account Manager plays a key role in delivering exceptional insurance solutions to Butler Byers’ commercial clients. This role combines technical expertise, risk analysis, and relationship management to provide tailored coverage that aligns with each client’s business operations and strategic goals. The position is ideal for an experienced insurance professional with a background in commercial underwriting or brokering who values integrity, collaboration, and client service excellence.

Responsibilities

- Manage a diverse portfolio of commercial clients, providing expert guidance on insurance products and risk solutions.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and coverage reviews to ensure clients are properly protected.
- Prepare, negotiate, and renew commercial insurance policies.
- Respond promptly to client inquiries and deliver accurate, timely information.
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships founded on trust, service, and integrity.
- Monitor changes in market conditions, emerging risks,



and regulatory updates.
- Work closely with the internal team to ensure seamless client service.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in systems, documentation, and client workflows.
- Uphold and promote Butler Byers’ culture of collaboration, learning, and community engagement.

Requirements

Education and Experience

- Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial insurance brokering or underwriting.
- CAIB, CIP, or CRM professional designations.
- Solid understanding of commercial insurance products, underwriting principles, and risk management.
- Experience developing and retaining long-term client relationships.
