Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Cook to join our team at Atlantic Indian Bistro, an authentic Indian restaurant known for its vibrant flavors and rich culinary traditions. The ideal candidate will have experience in Indian cuisine, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes, including appetizers, main courses, and desserts, following traditional recipes and presentation standards.
- Ingredient Management: Ensure the freshness and quality of all ingredients; assist in inventory management and stock ordering as needed.
- Cooking Techniques: Utilize traditional cooking methods, such as tandoori, sautéing, and steaming, to create authentic flavors.
- Kitchen Hygiene: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen staff to plan menus, create daily specials, and optimize workflow.
- Quality Control:



Taste and adjust seasonings and presentation of dishes to meet restaurant standards.
- Customer Interaction: Assist with plating dishes for guests and engage with customers to enhance their dining experience.

Qualifications:

- Experience: Previous experience as a Cook in an Indian restaurant or similar establishment is preferred.
- Culinary Skills: Strong knowledge of Indian spices, herbs, and cooking techniques.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and work in a fast-paced kitchen.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.00-$19.00 per hour
