Prince Albert Housing Authority is currently recruiting for a full time Journeyman Carpenter. If you are ambitious, experienced and skilled in the maintenance of residential buildings, this could be the job for you!

The Position

- Maintenance of residential buildings
- Vacant unit preparation
- Day to day carpentry related work

Responsibilities and Requirements

- Knowledge of the basic techniques employed in a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, painting, flooring, and electrical
- Capability to maintain a high standard of unit maintenance, including preventative and corrective maintenance of building
- Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with management, staff, and tenants
- Ensure day to day operations are handling promptly and effectively

Qualifications

- Grade 12 education,



supplemented with Journeymans status in Carpentry plus 3 years experience in a maintenance and renovations environment
- Self-motivated with the ability to handle stress, while prioritizing workloads and respecting peoples diversity and individual differences
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to participate in a regular, continuous on call program for emergencies, including evening, weekend, and holiday coverage
- A valid drivers license, reliable, roadworthy vehicle, and an approved Enhanced (Vulnerable Sector) criminal record check are conditions of employment
