Title: DevOps Engineer (French Speaker)

Location: Montréal – Downtown – 6 days per month in Montréal (Hybrid)

Duration: 4+ months with possible extension - 37.5 h/week

Pay Rate: CAD $95- CAD $100/hr – incorporated basis The candidate must have the following qualifications:

REQUIRED

- 15+ years of experience in IT as a developer, including 8+ years as a DevOps engineer
- Bachelor's degree in IT or computer engineering
- Experience in automated deployment of robust solutions with a major cloud provider (Azure, GCP, AWS)
- Experience delivering solutions on Kubernetes
- Strong expertise in cloud networking, including WAF, DNS, and DDoS
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployment (Terraform)
- Excellent skills in CI/CD pipeline automation (GitHub, ArgoCD, GitOps, SonarQube)
- Expertise in API gateway services (Apigee, Traefik, API Gateway, Kong)
- Strong proficiency in C#, Java, and related frameworks
- Robust understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns for delivery automation (microservices, event-driven architecture, streaming)
- Expertise in operational database technologies, both relational and non-relational (SQL, NoSQL, caching)
- Understanding of SaaS integration principles
- Language: French-speaking

Assets

- Experience deploying identity solutions (IAM / CIAM) for both customer users and internal contributors to technology platforms

Main Responsibilities

- Act as the lead for industrialization and automation of deployment for metropolitan mobility solutions, based on your expertise
- Actively contribute to feasibility, design, and implementation phases of various software development and integration projects, while respecting industry standards for solution, infrastructure, and software architecture
- Define and recommend secure, reliable, and high-performance IT solutions that meet business needs
- Promote reuse of proven solutions to optimize service quality and operations
- Act as an expert advisor and subject matter expert in your domain, and serve as a resource and coach for senior leadership and junior staff
- Actively participate in and lead solution experimentation, as well as the deployment of cloud environments required for system delivery
- Perform quality assurance of architectural documentation aligned with the IT strategic plan
- Design technological infrastructures considering functional needs, scalability, performance, and security requirements
- Work closely with managed service providers to ensure delivery of high-performing infrastructure
- Participate in diagnosing and resolving complex operational issues 24/7
- Participate in risk analysis and cost-benefit assessments
