Responsibilities
- Efficiently clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold health standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, supporting chefs and kitchen staff in maintaining workflow
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces
- Follow safety protocols related to food service, cleaning chemicals, and equipment operation
- Help uphold a welcoming atmosphere by supporting overall restaurant cleanliness and organization
Requirements
- Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key
- Robust understanding of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and food handling safety
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and precision
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, including basic food preparation or cooking skills is a plus
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues in a hospitality setting
- Previous hotel or food service experience can be advantageous but is not mandatory
