We are currently seeking an experienced Part-Time Dishwasher / Prep Cook.

We are a neighbourhood gastro market offering scratch-made prepared entrées, sauces, soups, and more. We also double as a quick service take-out restaurant serving hot/cold sandwiches, pizza, hot entrées, pastry and bread.

Position is currently Part-Time (roughly 20-30 hours/week), with the possibility to extend into Full-Time with staff time off requests / natural business progression.

Hourly compensation starts at $17.95, but successful candidates will be included in our staff tip pool.

Duties

- Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing and kitchen areas.
- Assist with basic food preparation, including chopping, portioning, and ingredient preparation.
- Restock kitchen supplies and food items as needed.




- Remove trash and recycling and keep work areas clean and sanitary.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
- Support cooks and kitchen staff during busy service periods.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a food service or restaurant setting
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow direction
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
